It takes a team to win a race. Lead rider Jonah Street rides for Team Rally PanAmerica, a passionate group of independent individuals who use their unique talents to build fast motorcycles and win. The team demonstrated its tenacity as the team to be reckoned with at the 2006 Lisbon to Dakar Rally – a grueling 15-day, 5600 mile race across the most rugged terrain in the world – against a field of the best world-class riders.
Team Manager
Team Rally PanAmerica is lead by team manager Charlie Rauseo, a Harvard-educated attorney and former executive of a $100 million industrial design company. He has decades of experience assembling and motivating successful teams. Charlie leads his team by example – he competed in the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Dakar Rallies.
Team Riders
Jonah Street was born to race. A longtime resident of Ellensburg, Wash., Jonah began "cutting through the sagebrush" in Central Washington's semi-arid-desert-like-terrain at the age of 6. It was not long before Jonah was known throughout the region for his prowess on motorcycles.
Today, winning numerous international championships, 34-year old Jonah Street is a world-class motorcycle racer who has garnered acclaim for his skill, his undaunting courage under pressure, his humanity toward fellow racers, and his fervor for motorcycle racing.
During the Dakar Rally 2006, Jonah Street staked his claim as a top contender. Competing against 252 other motorcyclists, and a newcomer to this very different style of racing, Jonah placed 17th overall. More impressively, Jonah turned in outstanding times in three of the 15 stages of the race: 3rd in Stage 11, 5th in Stage 12, and 2nd in Stage 13 – stunning the establishment.
Jonah Street has the confidence, stamina, thousands of miles of long distance endurance rides, the best navigational skills, and the will to win the Dakar Rally 2007.
Jonah Street resides in Ellensburg, Wash. with his wife April and two children, Ava and Mason.
Casey McCoy, a long-time resident of Bishop, Calif., began riding motorcycles at the age of 11, and has competed in motocross, grand prix, enduro, desert races and rallies. After a brief stint in motocross, he focused on desert riding and has earned his place on the winner's stage, including 1st in the 1997 Best in the Desert Series and 2nd in the 2000 Australian Safari Rally.
Mike Kyrnock, Satellite Rider and one of America's top "Privateers." Like his team leader Jonah Street, Mike proved his mettle at 2006 Lisbon to Dakar Rally, following an accident during the third stage of the race. After breaking his wrist, Mike finished 84th in a field of 252 entrants. He will compete with Team Rally PanAmerica in the 2007 Lisbon to Dakar Rally.
Mike hails from Sunnyvale, Calif.
